Your equipment data stays focused on the work.
ScanSticker stores the information needed to run your equipment workflow. We do not sell it, we do not run ad trackers, and we keep public scan pages separate from private business operations.
What we collect
Account data - your name, email, business name, and a hashed password. We never store the password itself. Product data - the equipment records, photos, manuals, parts, customers, and service history you enter. Request data - when someone reports a problem from a scanned tag, we store the name and description they submit, and their email if they choose to leave one for status updates.
Cookies
We use session cookies to keep you logged in and remember essential product state. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We send transactional email only: service-request notifications, portal invites, and password resets through Resend, our email provider. We do not send marketing email unless you ask for it, and we never share your address.
Where data lives
The application is hosted on Vercel, the database on Neon Postgres, and uploaded files such as photos and manual PDFs on Vercel Blob storage. Data is encrypted in transit, and the database is continuously backed up.
What is public
Equipment pages opened by scanning a tag are public by design. They show what you have put on the equipment record. Your dashboard, customer list, request queue, invoices, and internal workflow stay behind your login.
What we do not do
We do not sell data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not look at your business data except to support you or to keep the service running.
Your choices
You can update your account details in Settings, and you can ask us to export or permanently delete your data at any time by emailing hello@scansticker.com.
