ScanSticker Go

Questions shops ask

If yours is not here, email support@scansticker.com.

Do my customers need an app or an account?
No. They scan the sticker, or open a link you email them, and use a simple web page. They never sign in.
What do my customers get by email?
Service emails only: request confirmations, estimates, invoices, receipts, appointment times and payment reminders. Never marketing. You can turn appointment emails and reminders off.
What if a sticker gets damaged or falls off?
Put a new sticker on the machine and replace the old one in the app. The history stays with the machine. Anyone who scans the old code is told it is no longer in use, with your shop's name and phone number.
Does it work without signal?
For field work, yes. Scanning known equipment, viewing saved history, and recording work, photos and price book lines all work offline and send when you are back online. Issuing an invoice and recording any payment, cash included, need a connection.
Who holds the money?
Your shop does. Payments go to your own Stripe account, with your shop as the merchant. We take 0.5% of what is paid through the app, at most $5 on a bank payment. Cash and checks are free.
Can I use the Stripe account I already have?
Not in this version. You open a new Stripe account for your shop from the app, after seeing Stripe's full card rate.
Does ScanSticker Go figure out my sales tax?
No. You name your taxes and type their rates, and the app does the arithmetic. It never looks up or suggests a rate, and it does not give tax advice. If you do not charge sales tax, choose that in setup.
Can I bring my price book and customers?
Your price book can come from a spreadsheet or from QuickBooks Online. Customers come over from QuickBooks Online, once, when you connect it.
Does it work with QuickBooks?
Yes, if you use QuickBooks Online. It is optional. After a one-time import, ScanSticker Go sends your customers, items, invoices and payments to QuickBooks. Nothing is pulled back.
Do my technicians see prices?
They do unless you turn it off. Technicians take payment only if you allow it, and then only on their own jobs for customers who pay on completion.
Is there a dispatch board or time tracking?
No. Jobs go on a day or week schedule by technician, and labor is a line with the hours typed in. ScanSticker Go is made for an owner and a small team, not a dispatch office.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet. ScanSticker Go is an iPhone app.
Why do I subscribe on the website and not in the App Store?
So we can keep one simple plan with team seats. You download the app from the App Store, then subscribe and manage seats on our website.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
The app turns read-only. You can still look things up and export everything. Nothing is deleted, so if you come back, it is all where you left it.
Is it available outside the United States?
No. ScanSticker Go is for shops in the United States.
